J. Robinson at SiteFever.com took the blog addiction test at Mingle2.com and discovered he is 80% addicted to blogging. In his post, Are You Addicted To Blogging? he says,
If someone could answer their questions honestly and be more addicted to blogging than me, I’d like to know about it!
I’m always up for a challenge so I took the blogging addiction test.
I scored a 97%!!! Does anyone know the number for a really good addiction counselor (Priscilla are you available?) Seems like I need to put down the laptop and spend some time at the pool. I’m going to Washington D.C. on September 15th to live blog the GOE 3 event. Maybe I should spend some time exercising, finding another hobby, and tanning my pasty white skin?
Time for you to take the blog addiction test. Leave a comment and let everyone know your score. If we can find a few more people that are as addicted as me we might be able to negotiate a group rate.
(update) Thanks to Meghna who emailed me and told me that I had spelled addiction wrong in the title of this post.

I’m a relatively sane 67%. I think we need to start an intervention group for you right now.
More importantly, this is fantastic link bait. Any idea how I could set up something similar myself in my own niche?

I am only 60% addicted and no I didn’t put the button to show that on my blog. Afterall, I am still a beginner. So, give me time and my addiction will probably grow.

My score says I’m 77% addicted. The good thing is I believe it’s a positive addition- at least, for those of us who make a living this way.

Ahh, well I’m ‘only’ 77% addict.. I was already started to scare myself, blogging literally minutes before leaving on a holiday, and within minutes of returning…
August 27th, 2007 at 1:18 pmSuch a relief to know that there are people much worse than me ;-)). But hey, if you’re really passionate about something, who cares about the test right??
You might have to come up with some nice combinations though, like blogging outside and exercising while blogging.. Might be quite a market for it ;-)))

By the way, I posted a public thank you note to you today, for the creation of The Personal Development List button. You have been so great in helping me and my technical hardships.

It looks like I need help. That gives me another idea for a new blog. Bloggers Anonymous, help I’m doing it again.

Wild Bill,
Only 64% addiction, here, but I’m skeptical; I think it’s actually higher. Though the test did ask how often we update our blogs, it didn’t ask how long we spend writing blog posts. If it had, I’d be joining you at Bloggers Anonymous!
Since the test asked how much time we spend reading blogs, I think it should have also asked how much time we spend writing blog posts. After all, one blogger could dash off three posts in an hour and another might spend two hours writing one post!
I rest my case!

I’m one of those blogger that takes awhile writing most posts. Occasionally I can limit may distractions enough to turn out posts in a short amount of time. I might update this post and show my answers for the test.

most of my posts are cranked out in about a 20 minute time span, I rarely spend more time than that on each post. But I may write three or four posts and leave some as drafts to publish later when I have no new ideas.

Wish I could write that fast, BigMike!

If you’re writing posts that fast, you could probably write better posts by taking more time on them.

Big Mike, write me some posts. haha

I am 60 percent addicted. I am not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. I didn’t paste it to my blog because I’m really new at this.
